Once upon a time, I was a music major at
the University
of Texas at San Antonio. After a year of not having
a life because I was always rehearsing for some recital
or another, I gave up the major and decided to do something
else (ultimately, the "something else" was Business
Information Systems, but that's another website entirely).
I think it was the best thing for my sanity.
While I did give up the major, I never gave
up the music. I still sing as often as I can, but now
it's for me or an audience, rather than a teacher and
a grade. It makes all the difference in my level of enjoyment.
My goal is to be able to sing as part of my career (see
the Theatre and Writing pages for the other parts of my
ideal career.)
I've collected several recordings of myself
performing various songs. There's a wide range from which
to choose. Each linked page has the mp3 or wav file along
with the lyrics to the song. I welcome feedback on any
of the songs (especially if you enjoyed them). Who knows,
maybe you'll be able to say some day that you heard me
sing way back when.
